We have already seen the picture submitted to paranormalabout, of the Victorian couple and the baby on the father's lap, which looks like the head of Jesus Christ. Here is the picture for reference, sent by Jessica Lundgren in Sweden, which has caused quite a stir!! Very Happy

However in this article, forgetomori also refers to the famous 'Girl in Burning Building' which is the Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England and also thinks it is a great example of pareidolia. I've got my doubts of this one, especially in the close up he provides, as her facial features are SO clear! Shocked Take a look by clicking on the link and scrolling down...Feedback on this is greatly appreciated!

Great post!! Being pagan..( so nothing personal) I have a hard time beleiving that Jesus appears in photos..or grilled cheese sandwhiches. The posted pic is to me just an illusion of the old crumpled photo and shadows. As for the one of the girl..I am more inclined to beleive that is is a girl and not a young jesus. As for it being real..idk..but I have always liked it.

I am not sure what to think of this picture-I don't believe that it is paranormal though. I cannot tell what it could be, the picture of the boy sitting on his father's knee you could see what was causing the illusion. In this photo it looks like someone photoshopped the face in or something????

The picture is not paranormal, Carol. It is a case of pareidolia, so they say. Very Happy

Did you scroll down and get a look at the ghost girl in the flames pic? I'm interested in reading your thoughts about that one! Very Happy

Alright i have seen that pic of the girl from the fire building for a number of years. I am NOT CONVINCED it is a case of Pareidolia. I see her head by the railing.. and i see the " line " by her waist.. AND?? So? he is saying it cant be? the photo has been examined and determined to have been NOT touched.. i dont see how the smoke could cause that illusion..

Ya know darn tooting well i googled Occam's razor: This is often paraphrased as "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best." In other words, when multiple competing theories are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selecting the theory that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities. It is in this sense that Occam's razor is usually understood. This is, however, incorrect. Occam's razor is not concerned with the simplicity or complexity of a good explanation as such, it only demands that the explanation be free of elements that have nothing to do with the phenomenon (and the explanation).

and with that i say HUH?? Is it easier to say it is Pareidolia ?? Is that his point?

Well said Janet! I have to repeat myself again. I have seen a good close up of the 'ghost girl in the flames' pic and I cannot say it's pareidolia. The features are so clear!!!! This is one case where I have to say it's too hard for me to accept. If you just look at the close up carefully you'll see that this cannot be pareidolia. I just can't accept this as a fake or a pareidolia pic!!!
