Hmm...I just came across this one. I think I may have passed it off as a fleshie with the light glaring off of them. Looking at it now though...I notice something...no shadow on the wall from the light.

With the bright light source being below the figure to its left you'd think there would be a fairly tall shadow of it on the wall...wouldn't you?

I'm curious about the absence of shadow too! It looks like a fleshie but where is this person's shadow? Confused

Its awfully late hours...or early depending on your perspective...but the kids are occasionally up at that time, so that's really no help.

I have enhanced it and I can make out a shadow. You can just about make it out on the wall, but quite far down as a darkish haze on the wall at the base of the banister, where the lines on the wall are horizontal.. all of them but 1 go right to the floor. I think the reason for this is the direction of the light from the under the stairs. as it is not horizontal.. it wont cast a full shadow against the wall but rather one at the base as the angle of the light is such that the angle will not give a full and compete casting. I live in a bungalow.. so don't have any stairs otherwise I would test it for you.
Anyway. just my opinion but I am leaning to fleshie.

Sean

I think you might be right. The angle might be so that the shadow is back there by the curtain and blending in with it.

Yes, I agree with Sean. I can see the low hazy shadow. I think there are two main light sources; one out of view of the cam, coming from the right hand side, downstairs which is why there is the low shadow in front of the person. But the main light source there is the bright light we can see to the left, which is illuminating the person. This would mean that there would be a shadow behind the figure, and I can just make out a bit of dark shadow left of the curtain. I do think it's a family member.

Ah yes! I can see the shadow that you guys mention below! Thanks for putting it in perspective for me. Very Happy I, too, think this is a person going up the stairs.
