I just caught this from the Haunted Farm cam. I would've said it was a motion blur, but it doesn't seem to pass through the usual thoroughfare, but rather, is situated between the doll and what appears to be a xmas tree, which seems like odd positioning for motion blur to me. It also appears as two uniform streaks, which again doesn't imply motion blur to me! Anyone got any ideas what could have caused this?

Mom's boiling chili in the next room and the heat is on.

Honestly, if you look through the farm caps since the Christmas lights have been up there are all kinds of them with weird things and even colored light streaks seeming to blur by in patterns similar to that. You can see some lights nearly that same color sticking out around the doorway over there. I've been passing them off as someone moving those lights making a moving glare across the lens of the lights, or them flashing and the cam taking its shot combined with the angle the light is hitting the lens making it seem like they are streaking by, or something to that effect. The right end of that streak is lined right up with that one brightest seeming light there sticking out so I think its somehow a glare from that.

Oh I bet you're right! I haven't watched that cam for ages so it's the first time I've seen it with the xmas tree. I did think it was a bit of a coincidence that it was down low by those lights!

Here is my enhancement. I think it's a camera glitch, if it isn't a motion blur of one of the pets.

It could have been caused by the lights, reflecting off something...I hadn't thought about heat, good theory, siege! Very Happy

Aren't we all siege? LMAO. I just noticed how it's also reflecting lower down at the bottom of the cap as well. That was only there for one refresh ... I just checked my 2nd cap! I feel sure it is something to do with those tree lights reflecting on the cam lens!

Well, I'm just thinking that if you look at Christmas lights they have a brightest point...if that is facing right at you then you see a brighter point of brightness than if its away. That bright point, being brighter, is obviously throwing off more light...if that point is directed at a slight angle to the left of the cam and the shot snapped at its brightest point of the blink, then it that combined with the curvature of the cam lens may have caused that curving streak effect. Also, the streak seems more solid on the outside edges and darker in the middle...most Christmas lights when you watch them flash on the wall ...seeing it as a head on circle...the reflection on the wall is dark in the center and brighter around the outside of the circle...if you extended that into a streak...you'd probably get something like this.
